I'm gonna guess you don't just mean things like "who gets to sit in the middle during movies" or "what size bed do you have to buy."

It's not all that different from having one significant long-term partner, in my opinion. You have to make sure you spread the love equally, but that's true of any relationship. You've had close friends growing up, right?
