Okay, so does albinism happen to run in particular Pokémon species? I thought it might've been a newborn thing, but it's been a while and normal fur hasn't grown in yet for him at all.

[A young, energetic Sneasel clambers his way up the back of York's chair. He's kind of excessively pink.

Someone's got his first shiny is what's happening here.

The Sneasel waves at the camera, then slips back down in an undignified tumble before running off again to play with York's Rotom. York watches him go before shaking his head.]

I ask 'cause I know that can cause eye problems, but he hasn't complained about it and Delta Two hasn't picked up any bad news from him. But he's a Dark type and a baby, so I dunno how much she'd be able to get from him, anyway. Do I need to get him glasses? Keep him out of the sun?

Fair enough. I don't think I've got a type myself, though I've got a soft spot for the ones that can interact with tech.

You might want to look into... what were they called - Porygons? I've heard they're good with tech. A lot of mine lack fingers, so interacting with tech is a problem.

Oh, yeah! I know a Porygon2, he's the cutest damn thing I ever met. I wouldn't mind picking up one of those.

Yeah, I think Porygon evolves into that but I don't know how. I'm not so great with technology, so I wouldn't know where else to look for those kinds of Pokemon, but if you ask around I'm sure you can find out.

I think I saw the Goldenrod Game Corner offering 'em as prizes, actually...I may have to look into that. My luck's bounced back since I got here, after all.

Just be careful. Those places don't make money by paying out to you.

Oh, dude, I know. But it's still a fun challenge to take on, right?

Yeah, that's true. I prefer to spend my money on stuff like sketchbooks rather than slot machines, though.

Yeah, I do. I'm not like a great artist or anything, but it's a fun hobby.

A pretty cool one, too. There anything in particular you like to draw?

Birds, mostly. That's what I used to draw. I've been working on... I guess it's a self-portrait, since I'm drawing a red-tailed hawk. It's... taking a while since I don't have references here. I've been drawing some of my Pokemon, too.

Yeah, I didn't even think about how it'd be harder without real photos to draw off of. I guess the closest-looking Pokémon equivalent might be Talonflame.

Yeah, and I do have one of those, but it's more... angular, I guess? The head's kind of off. Pidgeots are kind of close without the ridiculous top part.

Pidgeot, huh? Don't think I've seen one of those yet. Wouldn't that be more like a pigeon, though?

Sort of. It starts out as one, but then once it hits its second stage it looks more like a red-tailed hawk. Red-tails are leaner in the head, but the tail's a little similar with different colors.

Man, you really know your stuff, don't you? I mean, I know you were one, but not everybody's got an eye for the details.

I spent a lot of time watching birds outside the window at school, and chasing a bunch off from my territory as a bird.
