Okay, so does albinism happen to run in particular Pokémon species? I thought it might've been a newborn thing, but it's been a while and normal fur hasn't grown in yet for him at all.

[A young, energetic Sneasel clambers his way up the back of York's chair. He's kind of excessively pink.

Someone's got his first shiny is what's happening here.

The Sneasel waves at the camera, then slips back down in an undignified tumble before running off again to play with York's Rotom. York watches him go before shaking his head.]

I ask 'cause I know that can cause eye problems, but he hasn't complained about it and Delta Two hasn't picked up any bad news from him. But he's a Dark type and a baby, so I dunno how much she'd be able to get from him, anyway. Do I need to get him glasses? Keep him out of the sun?

Hey, that's okay. Delta Two was shy for the longest time. She's still pretty quiet.

[Prompted by her name, a Beheeyem leans her ponderous head into the background of the shot, waves a few blinky traffic-light fingers, and then returns to whatever she was doing out of frame.]

Is it always just one variation, or are there different patterns? Should I be breeding for this kinda thing?

I think it's pretty rare, but I don't know if there's different patterns. A breeder who's been here longer than me might know - that's sort of their area. But I don't think they're much different than the standard-color Pokemon.

[He waves to Delta Two, though.]

Is it? It's not super uncommon where I'm from. Hannukah stuff can apparently be hard to find in some areas though, from what I've heard.

Yeah, depends. It's totally impossible here in Johto, I can tell you that much.

So how's your December going? The weather's been nuts.

It's been okay, though... I hate the cold. If I were home I could morph into a polar bear or something, but here I just have to hide under blankets.

You could bundle up with a fire Pokémon, you know. Carolina's Arcanine's great for that.

I've got a Charizard, but he doesn't like me too much. I've got a newly-hatched Torchic, though.

What's a Torchic? I'm guessing some kind of baby fire bird from the name, but you never can tell with these things.

When he evolves he turns into a fire/fighting type. It's a little disappointing that he's not flying, but I guess my whole team can't be flying...

[It totally can, shh. It's not a bad tactical move at all what do you mean it is.]

As long as you're not stealing them, I don't think so. The gyms are all one type, though. Falkner thinks he's so great with his Flying-type gym he doesn't even know birds like I do.

I guess it helps to have a varied team, but anything with wings is always going to be high on my list.

Fair enough. I don't think I've got a type myself, though I've got a soft spot for the ones that can interact with tech.

You might want to look into... what were they called - Porygons? I've heard they're good with tech. A lot of mine lack fingers, so interacting with tech is a problem.

Oh, yeah! I know a Porygon2, he's the cutest damn thing I ever met. I wouldn't mind picking up one of those.

Yeah, I think Porygon evolves into that but I don't know how. I'm not so great with technology, so I wouldn't know where else to look for those kinds of Pokemon, but if you ask around I'm sure you can find out.

I think I saw the Goldenrod Game Corner offering 'em as prizes, actually...I may have to look into that. My luck's bounced back since I got here, after all.

Just be careful. Those places don't make money by paying out to you.
