Well, I don't find it that strange. Over in Japan we don't really do much for Christmas besides all the decorations and eating fried chicken and cake. Christianity isn't a commonly practiced religion there.
[Also Christmas is more of a romantic couple kind of holiday, so the other things about it have been a learning curve for Botan.]
Maybe it's because I've been here for a while, but I've noticed this world is a lot like Japan. Gosh, even the next region over--Kanto--has the same name as a region there. [And when she thinks about it, Goldenrod is an awful lot like Osaka sometimes.]
