[York's voice is the soft but urgent hiss of someone who's freaking out but doesn't want to alarm the people around him. The sound quality, for those sensitive to that sort of thing, indicates that he may have, you know. Locked himself in the bathroom. As one does.]
Can I lodge a complaint? I dunno who to, exactly, but I'da hoped this would be the kind of thing that got covered in the rookie's field manual as early as possible.
[He pauses.]
Turning into a werewolf, I mean.
[The pause is practically italicized. Whatever's happening to York, he is strenuously unhappy about it, and the tension rides his voice hard.]
Like, the fact that that's apparently a real possibility in this universe.

["York!" comes someone's muffled voice between insistent knocking, but he continues to pay no mind.]
But, man, this's never happened to anyone else, all this time you've been here?

Pokemon attacks seem to have gone up, though. I don't really know what that could mean, though. I... don't think the two incidents could be connected, though.
That sounds too much like a horror movie.
voice;
[He settles back down with a short growling noise that he immediately swallows down. To hide his alarm, he tries to go for a joking tone but overshoots to 'horrified laughter.']
But, hey, it's the right time of year for bad horror cliches, i'nt it? Ahahaha.

Maybe you should go to the PokeCenter? I know they treat people there, too.
Did this really start after you got attacked by something?

But yeah, there was a...I don't know what it was. I've only been here 'bout a month, I don't know all the local fauna yet.

Pokemon don't usually just attack people without warning. Something weird is going on here.
And the ones attacking people look like hybrids. I got attacked, too, so I don't really know what to think.

Shit, man. You mean like the ones people've been talking about all over the comms? Did it bite you?

Then again, I heard the police didn't really do anything. Guess we're on our own. You said...the ones that are attacking, they're some kind of hybrid? Is that normal?

[He's not very familiar with military lingo.]
I'm surprised they're not doing anything now. I think you'd be able to track one of them down, if you look. They all look exactly the same and they all answer to Jenny.
[Don't... ask him how that works. He doesn't know!]
Hybrids aren't normal, no. I don't know why they'd appear now.
