Okay, so does albinism happen to run in particular Pokémon species? I thought it might've been a newborn thing, but it's been a while and normal fur hasn't grown in yet for him at all.

[A young, energetic Sneasel clambers his way up the back of York's chair. He's kind of excessively pink.

Someone's got his first shiny is what's happening here.

The Sneasel waves at the camera, then slips back down in an undignified tumble before running off again to play with York's Rotom. York watches him go before shaking his head.]

I ask 'cause I know that can cause eye problems, but he hasn't complained about it and Delta Two hasn't picked up any bad news from him. But he's a Dark type and a baby, so I dunno how much she'd be able to get from him, anyway. Do I need to get him glasses? Keep him out of the sun?

[Queens hears that and comes back over to try to peer over the armrest of York's chair. York smiles and tilts the feed so Queens and Komasan can see each other.]

Hey, this kid thinks you're pretty, buddy.

[Queens puffs up with pride and does a little twirl before tottering a little--he's still a toddler, essentially--and running off again.]

I think that means thanks. What's your name, dude?

[Komasan just eats that up, his eyes practically sparkling as he watches Queens twirl away.]

Monge~ And he's so graceful, too... [!!!] He should try to get a job at the circus, zura!

[Because that's a thing toddlers do, right? Get jobs?

But enough nonsense, it's time for introductions. Komasan calms himself down and holds up one of his hands in a sort of half-wave, all in the name of being polite.]

My name is Komasan, it's very nice to meet you, zura! I-I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question, but your Pokemon was so monge~ I couldn't help myself, zura.

[He'll introduce himself, but, yeah, give him a second to ask.]

[He's pretty sure he got that right.]

I'm York. Where you from, man?

Ohhh, York! Like the US city, zura!

[That's a really big city, too. ...Or so he hears. So that must mean this guy is really important. His parents must've liked him a lot to name him after such a famous place.]

I'm normally from my house, but I don't think it's here anymore, zura. That's why I have to go to the city and get a new one, zura...

Ohhh, hey, are you new here? Need any help?

[Should he add zura to the ends of his sentences? Is that how he should communicate with this guy? He almost wants to.]

[It soon becomes apparent that Komasan has been outside this whole time, and it is, in fact, raining. He's been taking shelter under a tree, but it can only hide his situation for so long.

Go on, York, change the weather. Surely that is a reasonable request.]

Uhhh, can't help you much there, buddy. Are you far from town?

[Any town. Why are you talking to strangers about pink Sneezes when you are going to die of hypothermia in the rain?]

I'm four days away from town if I keep going, zura... I didn't think it'd rain like this after all that snow, zura...

I have Hogosha, but I don't think he likes the rain, zura.

[The feed glances over to the side, showing that Komasan is joined by a rather large Arcanine under that tree. Because that's totally a Pokemon newbies get right away.]

We've had to take a lot of breaks, zura.

Oh, yeah. That's an Arcanine, right? He's a fire type, 'course he won't like the water. You two traveling by yourselves?

[Does he need to stage an intervention...]

N-no, my other Pokemon are usually with me, but they don't like the rain either, z-zura.

[And since he can't ride them like he can Hogosha, it only made sense that he put them back in their little balls.]

Once we get to the city, Hogosha will go home and I don't think I'll be doing any traveling for a loooong time, zura...

I really miss having a roof over my head, zura.

[And fur.]

Well, look at it this way. Four days isn't too long. Tough guy like you, I bet that's no big deal, and then you'll have all the amenities of city life at your fingertips. Big beds, fluffy pillows...

But Komasan can't help but fixate on something else. In fact, he stares into the feed in awe.]

You...you think I'm tough, zura?

[Oh boy. What's York's big mouth gotten him into now?]

Sure! You're out there braving the elements, taking on wildlife twice your size... What's not tough about that?

[No one in the history of ever has ever called Komasan tough. Now that York's confirmed it and Komasan knows he wasn't hearing things, he stares into the feed in disbelief...

...for all of two seconds before he gives a mighty arm pump.]

I'm...I'm tough, zura!

[He turns to his Arcanine companion, holding up his pokeball in his free hand.]

Hogosha! Take the rest of the day off to wait off the rain, zura! I'm tough, I'm gonna walk by myself, zura!

[He recalls the giant fluff beast and shoves the pokeball in his bag with the rest of them. Without a moment to lose, Komasan keeps going, heading towards his destination in the pouring rain. Looks like the rest of this call will be on foot.]

I won't let you down, zura!

[Ohhh my god. WELP.]

All right, Tiger, but take it from a professional soldier: Tough guys take care of themselves, too. It's part of survival. Nothing says 'tough' like surviving, right?

If I die, I won't make it to the city anyway, zura! I have to survive, or else Hogosha can't go home, zura!

[Well, at least he's keen on living.]

It's okay, I'm not afraid of anything, zura.

[So of course the moment he says that, the sound of a twig snapping can be heard in the background. To absolutely no one's surprise, Komasan gives the most startled yelp, dropping his facade immediately.]

If you're sure, dude. Since you let your buddy rest, though, how about I stay on the line with you? At least that way you got someone to talk to on the road.

[And someone to keep an eye on him. Poor kid.]

[Wiping his eyes quickly so it doesn't look like he totally wasn't crying after making that unholy noise, Komasan looks back into the feed, surprised by the offer.]

O-Oh, that's very kind of you, zura...

[He'll have to do something for him as a thank you once this grueling journey is over with. Like make him lunch!

...Although Komasan supposes it would help if he actually knew where York was.]

S-So...do you live close to the city, zura?

[Gosh, so many people are either going there or already live in Goldenrod. It definitely makes things easier, that's for sure.]
